HeliPLAT and Maco Makina Establish Strategic Partnership in Helicopter Platform Solutions

As part of SAHA 2026, the International Defence, Aerospace and Space Industry Exhibition, HeliPLAT has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Maco Makina.

The agreement, signed by HeliPLAT Chairman of the Board Fuat Akpınar and Maco Makina General Manager Osman İstemihan Kırboz at the Istanbul Expo Center, establishes a framework for collaboration in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and certification of modular and fixed helicopter platforms made of steel, aluminum, or hybrid structures.

Through this partnership, we aim not only to develop new platform solutions but also to contribute to the advancement of Türkiye’s aviation infrastructure with innovative and deployable helicopter landing systems.

A New Step Toward the Future of Air Mobility

Speaking at the signing ceremony, HeliPLAT Chairman Fuat Akpınar emphasized that the agreement represents more than a technical collaboration:

“This partnership covers the entire lifecycle of helicopter platform projects, from design and engineering to certification and operational readiness. More importantly, it reflects a shared vision for the future of air operations and air mobility. The platforms we develop together will be rapidly deployable, transportable, and capable of supporting operations wherever they are needed.”

Supporting Emergency Response, Healthcare and Air Mobility

The platforms to be developed under the agreement are expected to serve a wide range of applications, including emergency response, healthcare operations, industrial facilities, and future urban air mobility ecosystems.

Key objectives include:

Combining Engineering Expertise and Manufacturing Capability

At HeliPLAT, we are committed to combining our expertise in helicopter platform engineering, testing, certification, and operational support with Maco Makina’s manufacturing capabilities to develop high-standard platform solutions for both domestic and international projects.

We believe that this partnership, announced at SAHA 2026, will pave the way for new projects that contribute to the development of aviation infrastructure and operational readiness in Türkiye and beyond.
